There are several words that best describe Genesis Church.
The First word is Presence. We are a Presence based church; and it has become our number one priority taken from… John 4: 23. Jesus said, “An Hour is coming and now is when the true worshippers will worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth.”
Everything we do comes out of our worship and our intimacy with the Father.
The second word is “Hybrid” which is an agricultural term of mixing and matching to make it the best. We love this word because this is how we feel about our church body. Here at Genesis is made up of people form all different walks of life, different nationalities, different spiritual backgrounds and he brought us together to joined and fitted together as one body for the cause of Christ Jesus.
The third word, is Missional. There is a strong consensus within our church body to be and have a global ministry that touched people around the world. Our network of churches and people believe in missions and we have moved beyond the attractional mindset of Sunday morning to literally cross pollinate with ministries in China, India, Ukraine, Moldova and the Philippines among others.
The fourth is Next Generation. Because of our location right across the road from Indiana University and our strong emphasis on raising up revival generation of spiritual sons and daughters we have placed great emphasis on the next generation. From our children, to youth, through college we have trained them up to believe that they are the church of today and not tomorrow.
The fifth word is Honor: We live in a culture in North American that has very little honor and it is one of the main reasons why the church is so unhealthy. Here at Genesis we make it a core value to honor one another. We truly believe one cannot have unity until they understand Honor. Here at Genesis it is our goal to build a culture of honor for everyone.
