Every year, right after Easter, IU hosts the “Little 500” — the largest collegiate cycling race in the world! It’s also the largest collegiate party weekend in America. And there are always really hard consequences and suffering that takes place in our community as a result.
So we decided to do something about that as a church!
Every year during Little 500, we take our church van and run a free shuttle to show the love of Jesus in the most practical way by helping students and people get home safe. We work with IU police and Bloomington police to make sure that we can provide this service to anyone who needs a safe ride home. This opens up so many opportunities to talk about Jesus, but it demonstrates the love of Jesus so much more!
If you want to be part of this opportunity to serve and love our community, then you can sign up by clicking the button below. We need both male and female volunteers, riders and drivers, and people to serve either or both shifts on either night.
There’s a mandatory training meeting on Sunday, April 12, right after service in the stage-left room
